Tell us about your artistic style?

My favorite is oil painting. It gives me a lot of possibilities to use it. For me it is my most rich technique from all the others. I also like to draw a lot, especially life drawing with a model that I practice every week in different ateliers. It gives me the opportunity to catch a gesture, fragment of the body in a more expressive way because of time pressure.

The poses are normally from 5 to 20 minutes. I prefer charcoal on paper and different colors of Conté crayons in the case of black background.

When did you realize you were an artist?

I believe in what Pablo Picasso once said: “All children are born artists, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up.”

Does creating art help you heal?

Of course. Creating is a basic therapy that I recommend for everyone no matter what level you have. It is important that you can share what is inside you, how do you see things, what is your point of view. Creating gives you a bigger and wider perspective for feeling better with yourself.

What was it that convinced you to join ARTDEX?

I was searching pages to share and collect my artworks and to see works of others. Then I found ARTDEX. It looks professional and interesting, that is why I joined.

“It is like kind of therapy for me personally. I need to create, to feel good, to feel alive. It is a fundamental form of expression and communication and it helps me understand my emotions. Creation is my place of serenity where I can focus here-and-now.”
