When you create public galleries, any member of ARTDEX can view them. You may also provide us with a public profile page that other unregistered individuals can view on the public Internet although not a registered member of ARTDEX or a user of our other Products. You may opt out of this feature through your settings. However, third-party search engines may not automatically update their caches, which may contain old public profile information and maintain this information to be available publicly.
When you use the Site, our servers will automatically record information about your interaction with our Products (“Data”), including Data sent by your browser when you visit the Site or the ARTDEX mobile app when used to access the Site. This Data may include your Internet Protocol address, information about the device on which you are using the Site, webpages viewed before the Site, how you use the Site and other information arising from your interaction with the Site and our Products.
How we use the Data Collected
We may share Data and Personal Information with our contracted service providers to allow them to provide services on our behalf and to ensure the quality of information provided. These third parties have limited access to your information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated to ARTDEX not to disclose or use it for other purposes. Unless described in this Privacy Statement, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade any Personal Information of our registered users with third parties.
We use Data and Personal Information to help us to develop, customize and improve our Products and to protect the Site and its users. For example, we may collect Data on how often certain features of the Site are used. We may also use Data to provide you with customized content, updates such as newsletters and marketing information that may be of interest.
And we may use or store Data and Personal Information wherever ACI does business, including countries not your own, where laws may be less stringent than the laws of your country. By using this Site and by providing any Personal Information to the Site, all users, including, without limitation users in Canada and the European Union, fully understand and unambiguously consent to the collection and processing of such information.
We may also share aggregated or non-personally identifiable information with our partners or other third parties.
Disclosures to Others as the Result of a Change in Control or Sale (or other Corporate Action) of ACI
Your user account and the information contained in the account are password protected. Please do not provide your password to anyone else. Upon deactivation of your account or upon termination of this Agreement, we may retain your Personal Information, any content you imported and your contact information, for the purpose of complying with the law and preventing fraud.
You may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of our marketing emails. Additionally, you may send a request specifying your communications preferences to [email protected] Customers may not opt out of receiving transactional emails related to their account with ARTDEX.
User Generated Content
You may choose to participate in areas of the Site which allow you to curate or create art galleries and collections (“User Content”). Any User Content that you voluntarily disclose for other users to view on the Site is not Personal Information. It becomes publicly available information and may be read, collected, redistributed or used by any person for any purpose. We are not responsible for the User Generated Content that you may choose to share and we reserve the right to remove any User Generated Content at our sole discretion.
Correcting and Updating Your Information
You may update or change their registration information by editing your user or organization record. To update your user profile, please login to your account on the Site. You may link or unlink your ARTDEX account from your account on Facebook or LinkedIn. To have your registration information deleted, please email [email protected] When you close your account, we will deactivate it. Requests to access, change, or delete your information will be handled within 30 days.
If you are a registered user of this Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for restricting access to your computer or device. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or your account or any other breach of security. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts or remove or edit content at our sole discretion.
We maintain a comprehensive information security program in accord with current standards that uses reasonable and appropriate administrative, physical and electronic safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of Data and Personal Information stored in our system. Your password is stored as an irreversible hash in the database. Any page on www.artdex.com that contains or receives Personal Information is protected by SSL encryption. All your documents, receipts and files are securely stored on our server and can only be accessed by a site script check.
Changes to this Privacy Statement
