Why NY Tech Day?

“Art” calls to mind wandering the halls of old museums, making things with our hands, and stepping away from the bustle of everyday life for a while. “Technology,” on the other hand, calls to mind nothing but bustle and grindstone – the fast-paced world of Silicon Valley startups and venture capital deals and the ever-evolving cloud and Internet. When you think of it that way, putting the two together almost feels like mixing oil and water – how can they ever combine?

Of course, that’s exactly what we’re working on at ARTDEX. Technology is giving us the tools to connect art lovers all over the world and let them share their art and their interests. We’re bringing art and tech together in a big way. In fact, we’re proud to be a part of this year’s NY Tech Day, where hundreds of tech startups gather every year to strut their stuff and show off how they’re changing the world.

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other

The art world and the tech world are very different places, and the mashup of the two makes us very different from other tech companies. The art world has just started to make the crossover into tech in the past few years, with online art sales and art inventory softwares, but we’re taking it a step further. We want to give the utility of archival software with the connection of a social media site all in one place, all built around the art.

We’re coming from the art world side of the game, so we’re thrilled to meet the other folks at NY Tech Day and see how they’re managing the technology side of things.

So look out for us at NY Tech Day! We’re excited to show you ARTDEX and what we can do to change the way the art world organizes and connects!
